FIRST INTERKULTUR CHOIR FESTIVAL IN VIETNAM

Big Opening Show on sea stage is being planned

For the first time Vietnam will be the venue of a big choir festival. From March 16 – 20, 2011, the event "1st Vietnam International Choir Festival & Competition" takes place in Hoi An City in the province of Quang Nam. According to INTERKULTUR the project is an important step in the cultural development of Vietnam. The German organization holds the event in collaboration with the Vietnamese Central Government, the Provincial Government of Quang Nam and the City Government of Hoi An.

Choirs of all music styles and cultures are welcome. Ensembles from all over the world are invited to be part of the festival concerts and competitions. In a total of six categories choirs will compete to win the award. Furthermore, the event 1st Vietnam International choir Festival & Competition offers advisory circles, rehearsals with choir experts and encounter concerts.

A further attraction is the "Hoi An Full Moon" Night on March 18, 2011. All electric light gives way to candlelight. Many traditional lantern shows lend a scenic charm to the night of a full moon.
